| Game Comments: Brimfield closed out a 26-1 season with a 44-35 win over Jacksonville Our Saviour in the championship game. Jackie McKown and Brycie Courter each scored five points in the first quarter to lead Brimfield to a 12-6 margin. Then the Indians exploded for 18 points in the second quarter to race to a 30-10 halftime lead. Post player Paige Spietz, listed at 5-9 in the program but who played taller than 6-0, got it going inside and made four second-quarter baskets. Spietz ended with 12 points for Brimfield and Courter led with 13. Brimfield did not score a field goal in the fourth quarter, getting only three points on 3 of 8 shooting from the free throw line. Tiffany King led Our Saviour with 10 points, eight coming in the second half. Brimfield's only loss was to local rival Canton Ingersoll. |
