| Game Comments: Neither team could assume control during the grind it out first two quarters, each scoring 6 points in the first quarter and 5 in the second. Katie Bainter-Wilcox scored seven of Lewistown Central's 11 points. Jacksonville Our Saviour had five players score in the first half, led by Danielle Staples with three on a three-pointer. The dogfight continued in the second half until Jacksonville Our Saviour scored six straight points in the fourth quarter to move from a 19-18 lead to a 25-18 margin with 3:38 remaining. Bailey Hatfill put in a runner from the right side for Lewistown Central to cut the deficit to 19-18. Then Casey Hance hit a jumper at 5:21 for Our Saviour, teammate Katie Lindsey followed at 4:41 with a basket and Hance hit a jumper in the paint for the 25-18 lead. Down the stretch Lewistown Central was forced to foul and Our Saviour missed the front end of the one and one four times but Lewistown Central could not mount a final charge. Jacksonville Our Saviour will take a 20-0 record into Tuesday night's semifnals. Lewistown Central finished at 18-4. |
