Sparland Midland increased its lead to 20-8 and a blowout was in sight. Then Bismarck-Henning got Jessica Brito and Hanna Hoover untracked to make a run that narrowed the gap to 22-18. Jessica Brito led Bismarck-Henning with 6 at halftime. Sparland Midland opened up a 28-18 lead early in the third quarter, then Bismarck-Henning came back. Then at the 3:23 mark in the fourth quarter Brito's three-pointer from the right side put them ahead 35-34. Jordan Jason hit one free throw for Sparland Midland to tie it at 35-35 with 3:12 left. At the 1:53 mark, Midland's Jordan Jason fired in a three-pointer from the right baseline and a 38-35 lead. That was the last field goal for the winners and missed free throws opened the door for Bismarck-Henning. The Eagles got a missed free throw rebound and worked the clock down from 36 seconds to a timeout at :12.8. They got the ball to Jessica Brito on the left side and she put up a three-pointer that was way short with :07.6 seconds left. Midland's Jason Jordan went to the free throw line again, missed the first attempt but the second one bounced twice on the rim and then fell through for a 39-35 lead. Bismarck-Henning's Jessice Brito fired home a three-pointer at the buzzer to end the game. Sparland Midland will take a 21-2 record into the second semifinal game Tuesday night against Jacksonville Our Saviour (20-0). Bismarck-Henning finished 20-4.
