The first three field goals by IB were well beyond the three point arc. Auburn managed to tie the game at 20-20 in the second quarter with about a minute remaining but a conventional three point play by Darian White of Illini Bluffs put the Tigers up 23-20 heading into the locker room. Auburn came out on fire in the 3rd quarter outscoring Illini Bluffs 22-7 higlighted by a 40 ft. shot at the buzzer by Michael Bates. Illini Bluffs was able to get the lead down to five with several three pointers in the fourth quarter but the lead Auburn built in the 3rd quarter was just too much to overcome.
