Match Comments: The Saints of Bloomington Holy Trinity met the Braves of Payson Seymour in the last semi-final of the night. Payson Seymour got out to an early lead in the first set behind the tough serving of Melina Tedrow. Bloomington Holy Trinity answered with some outstanding net play from Kimmy Sendelbach, Sarah Brady, and Erika Moore. Moore had a kill that put the Saints ahead 14-10. Abi Gregg answered with a kill for the Braves. Addy Loeffler had a big block for the Saints to put them up 17-12. Josie Stanford had several kills that narrowed the gap for the Braves. Brady had a well placed kill that put the Saints up by 3 points and then she served out the first set. In the second set, Payson Seymour got on the board early with the outstanding net play of Stanford. The Saints got back into the match with great defense and some outstanding saves. Hylee Schmiedeskamp and Stanford combined for several kills that narrowed the gap. Holy Trinity got the ball back on a great kill by Loeffler. Brady then had a huge block to put the Saints up 22-17. Payson made a run off of the tough serving of Lissa Hull. It was Brady again at the net with a kill that brought the Saints to 24-21. The Braves answered with kills from Tedrow and Stanford and cut the lead to 1. Erika Moore had a well-placed hit that sealed the win for the Saints.

Payson Seymour will play in the Consolation match on Tuesday.

Bloomington Holy Trinity will play in the Championship match on Tuesday.
