Game Comments: The final quarterfinal match-up pitted the Bee Bees of Williamsville against the Cardinals of Pleasant Plains. The Cardinals took a quick lead putting 12 on the board in the first quarter and holding the Bee Bees to only 5 points. Williamsville turned the tables on Pleasant Plains in the second quarter and cut the lead to one to enter the locker-room at the half. The second half the two teams traded baskets, but with a 6 point lead and a minute to play, Pleasant Plains worked the ball around the horn and forced Williamsville to foul to stop the clock. Leading scorer for the Cardinals was #32 McKenzie Smith while the leading scorer for Williamsville was Lilly Doneghue who also had 12 points. Congratulations to Williamsville on a great season. Pleasant Plains will play Hillsboro in the 6:30 semifinal game tonight.
