Game Comments: The Knights of Wenona Fieldcrest took on the defending champions Dragons of Hillsboro in the third quarterfinal match-up. Hillsboro took the early lead in the first quarter and held the Knights to one point in the first quarter. The second quarter saw Wenona popped the lid on their basket, but their defense struggled to stop the Dragons multiple offensive threats.
The Knights began to cut into the Dragons lead in the start of the third quarter. The Dragons took a few minutes to find their rhythm in the second half, but eventually built their back up. Ultimately Hillsboro’s lead was too much for Fieldcrest to overcome. Leading scorer for the game was #24 Sammi Matoush form Hillsboro.
Congratulations to Wenona Fieldcrest on a great season. Hillsboro advance to the semi-final round at 6:30 tonight.
