Game Comments: In the first contest of Thursday's Championship Night, the Spartans of Frankfort Summit Hill held off a late rally from the Indians of Channahon to capture the Class 4A Third Place Title. The first half was all Frankfort Summit Hill, as the Spartans dominated both ends of the floor en route to a 22-1 half time lead. Lauren Hunter was superb in the first half for the Spartans, notching 15 points and playing aggressive defense in the paint. Following a difficult first half, the Indians responded in a big way, outscoring the Spartans 10-6 in the third quarter, as they inched their way back into the contest. With the game's final seconds tickets away, Rachel Kirkolis knocked in a big time three that would pull the Indians within five points after being down as many as 21. The comeback, although valiant by the Indians, was not to be as Hunter and her teammates closed out the fourth quarter with some clutch free throws. Lauren Hunter finished with a game high 17 points, while Holly Bonde continued her strong tournament play with 10 points to lead Channahon.

Congratulations to both teams on terrific seasons!
