Game Comments: In game one of Tuesday night's quarterfinal action, the Panthers of Edwardsville Liberty defeated the Senators of Calumet City Dirksen by the final score of 47-11. The Panther's Rachel Pranger was on fire from the get go, as the standout post player tallied an impressive 16 first half points en route to a 27-9 halftime lead. The second half was much of the same, as Pranger and her teammates continued to dominate the paint, while also playing excellent perimeter defense. Pranger finished with a game high 18 points, while seven other Panthers found their way onto the stat sheet. Even though it was an off night for the Senators, Daaiyah Wardell still contributed with six first quarter points to lead her team.

Edwardsville Liberty advances to Wednesday night's semifinal round, as they will take on the Spartans of Frankfort Summit Hill. Game time for that anticipated contest is at 4:30pm.

Congratulations to both teams!
