Game Comments: In game two of Wednesday night's semifinal matchups, the Titans of Chatham Glenwood rallied in overtime to defeat the Indians of Channahon by the final score of 39-38. In the first quarter of this key semifinal contest, points were tough to come by as both teams were aggressive down in the paint. Channahon was quick to adjust to the tempo of the game, as they scrapped out to a 12-5 first quarter lead. The second quarter saw much of the same, as the Indians continued to increase their lead thanks to some impressive post play from Holly Bonde. Down 16-6 early in the second quarter, Chatham Glenwood was finally able to rally in a big way, as the Titans went on an incredible 12-0 run to end the second half. Makenzie Bray was front and center during the Titans rally, knocking in 8 of her eventual game high 16 points. Heading into halftime now down two, the Indians come out strong in the third period, eventually retaking the lead at one point thanks to a Jenna Roberts three pointer. Back would come the Titans, as Ciara Lahr netted a bucket late to reclaim the lead for Chatham Glenwood, 24-23. In a wild fourth quarter, both teams traded baskets and leads until the final minute of the game. Holly Bone, like she's done all tournament for her Indians, made two clutch free throws to tie the game at 35. After the Titans could not convert on the other end, this wild semifinal battle finished regulation tied at 35. Channahon quickly took the lead to begin the OT period, however back would come Chatham Glenwood and Makenzie Bray. Bray's late drive to the basket with only seconds remaining gave the Titans a one point lead that would eventually end up being the deciding factor.

With the win, the Titans advance to the state championship game on Thursday night, as they will take on Wednesday night's earlier winner in Edwardsville Liberty. Channahon now has a date with Frankfort Summit Hill for the Class 4A third place title.
