| Game Comments: Auburn JHS at Divernon turned a five point, first quarter lead into an eventual 28-6 victory over the Redbirds of Paris Mayo. The second quarterfinal contest of the day saw Katryel Clark dominate defensively for four quarters, on top of adding 16 points to lead all scorers. After securing a six point lead heading into halftime, Clark and her teammates shut out the high powered Paris Mayo offense the entire second half. The Redbirds' Terra Fancher tallied 5 of her teams 6 points, while shooting 3 of 4 from the charity stripe. With the victory, Auburn JHS at Divernon advances to the 7-3A State semifinals in a showdown with now 22-1 Eureka tonight at 5pm. Congratulations to both teams. |
