| Game Comments: Eureka and its swarming defense set the tempo early en route to an impressive 42-27 quarterfinal victory over the Bombers of Brownstown. Natalie Bardwell led the way with 11 points for Eureka, while teammate Tessa Leman followed closely behind with 10 points. After building an impressive 10 point lead going into the half, the Lady Hornets stepped on the gas in the third quarter, outscoring the bombers 15-5. Deana Shelton of Brownstown knocked in 5 FGs and totaled 11 points, including 6 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough. Eureka moves on to the 7th Grade Class 3A semi-finals at 5:00pm today, as they await the winner of Paris Mayo and Auburn JHS at Divernon. Congratulations to both teams. |
