Game Comments: In second match saw the Warriors of Markham Robert Frost take on the Wooden Shoes of Teutopolis. The Warriors won the jump ball and took the early lead, but the Wooden Shoes came right back and the end of the first saw Markham up by 5. The Warriors continued their fast pace of play, pushing the ball up the court off every rebound not letting the Wooden Shoes a chance to set- up their defense. #3 MarKeise Irving quickness and ability to penetrate the paint in the first half helped the Warriors take a small lead into the locker room at the half.
The second half saw the two teams battle it out. Teutopolis came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders and retook the lead. In the final quarter, #3 Irving for Markham Robert Frost drives the lane and lays it up to tie the game at 31 apiece and 4 minutes to play. Coming out of the time-out #24 Mitch Hemmen retook the lead on a jumper and then next trip down #25 Luke Ungrund drains a three at the top of the key to increase the lead to 6 for Teutopolis. #24 Marsean Tripplett grabbed the rebound on a long three and cut the lead to three for the Warriors, but Ungrund once again drained another three on the baseline and put Wooden shoes back up by six with 1:20 to play.
