Game Comments: The first semi-final contest of the evening for Class 1A saw the Dieterich Roadrunners use a second half offensive explosive to upend Chrisman Scottland by the final score of 52-35. Like a heavyweight fight, the first quarter watched both teams trade basket for basket with seemingly no end in sight. Following a brief one point Dieterich lead to end the first quarter, the Flyers of Chrisman Scottland began to build some momentum. Chris Ellis and Bryce Krabel combined for nine second quarter points as Chrisman Scottland seized the lead, 20-14, with roughly 70 seconds remaining in the first half. Facing adversity as they watched their once slim lead crumble, Dieterich proceeded to force three straight turnovers thus turning them into six fast break points as time expired in the first half. Stunned in disbelief, the Flyers headed to the locker room now tied with Dieterich at 20. That period in the game set the tempo for the rest of this semi-final contest as the Roadrunners would go on to outscore Chrisman Scottland 32-15. Ryan Radloff had a second half to remember, scoring 25 of his game high 31 points in the third and fourth quarter to lead the Roadrunner attack.

The Road Runners now advance to the IESA Class 1A 7th Grade Boys Basketball State Championship Game next Thursday, February 7th at 7:30pm. Deterich will face the winner of the Mulberry Grove, Annawan semi-final contest taking place later tonight. The runner-up of that contest with go on to face Chrisman Scottland in next Thursday's Third Place Game, tipping-off at 6:00pm.

Best of luck to both teams next Thursday!
