Game Comments: In a back and forth battle that went down to the wire, the Annawan Braves triumphed over the Trailblazers of Champaign Next Generation by the final score of 33-24. The tempo for both teams was set early on thanks to some physical post play by Annawan's Ben Buresh and Champaign Next Generation's Noah Blue. The two young men traded baskets in the early going, however it was Annawan's ability to hit the outside shot that contributed to their 19-16 lead heading into the half. Brendon Shaw and Dante Weathersby each helped the cause with several second quarter buckets, while Buresh continued his strong showing in the post. After a third quarter that saw Annawan extend their lead to seven, Noah Blue began to will the Trailblazers back into the game. Possession after possession, Champaign Next Generation fed their playmaker down low and eventually cut it to within three late in the fourth. However, after forcing back to back turnovers with just under two minutes remaining, the Braves retook the momentum and ultimately the game in the process. Buresh finished with a game high 17 for the Braves, while Blue tallied 13 total points for the Trailblazers.

The win catapults Annawan into the state semi-final, as they'll take on Mulberry Grove. Game time is tonight at 6:30pm.

Congratulations go out to both teams on a game well played!
