Game Comments: Mendon Unity Starters: 13, 42, 51, 25, 31. Mason City Illini Central starters: 22, 35, 33, 30, 12. Mason City Illini Central lead 32-21 after three quarters. Mendon Unity had to foul to try to get back into the game and did cut the deficit to 33-28 with 5:06 to go in the fourth quarter. But Illini Central kept hitting free throws and eventually won by 12. In the fourth quarter, Illini Central made 15 of 20 free throws. Jared Entwistle was 8-8 from the foul line in the fourth quarter and hit six in a row in the final minute to ice the win. Reed Bentzinger scored seven of his 14 points in the fourth quarter for Mendon Unity before fouling out. Mendon Unity was called for 22 fouls. Illini Central was guilty of 12 fouls and Mendon Unity made 6 of 9 foul shots in the fourth quarter. Jordan Bradshaw hit a jumper with :18.2 seconds left in the first quarter to give Mason City Illini Central a 12-11 and only lead in the first six minutes. Then the Illini Central defense took over, forcing Mendon Unity into a series of turnovers that resulted in steal layups for Illini Central. Jared Entwistle scored on a steal with 2:54 remaining in the second quarter for a 19-15 lead. Jordan Bradshaw's steal layup made it 23-15 before the half ended with Illini Central leading by 10 points.
