Pleasant Plains dominated the net early in the set behind the hitting of Jade Garrett and Abbie Boesdorfer. The Panthers fought back with a kill from Kaylee Holland and then followed with two incredible defensive plays that cut the Plains lead to 9 points. Emma Grieser had a kill for the Cardinals that brought the ball back to Jade Tapscott who served up an ace to bring Pleasant Plains to 24. The Cardinals closed out the first set. The Panthers offense caught fire early in the second set behind the hitting of Shania Schoonover and Grace Sims who also had a big block that tied up the score for Pana. The Cardinals then took over with some aggressive serving that troubled the Pana passers. Two kills from Kristen Kennedy put the Cardinals up by 10 points. The Cardinals then came up with an outstanding defensive sequence that gave them a huge momentum boost. McKenzie Smith put down a kill for the Cardinals that put them at 24 and then it was Tapscott who finished off the match with a kill for Pleasant Plains. Congratulations to Pana on an outstanding season.
