Match Comments: In the Consolation match, the Pages of Arthur-Lovington faced the Raiders of Seneca. Both teams played great defense early in the first set. The Pages jumped out to an early lead. Hannah Berg had a block for the aides that a put the ball into the hands of Abriana Jashari who put on a tremendous serving run for the Raiders. Berg had several kills to keep the run alive for the Raiders. Taylor Powell had a big kill for the Pages at 6-13 and went back to take up serving duties. From their, Powell rattled off several aces to tie up the score at 15 and then pull ahead 18-15. The Raiders battled back with some well-placed tips and narrowed the gap. Berg had another kill that that brought the Raiders to within 3. Marcy Petersheim served out the first set for the Pages. In the second set, Arthur-Lovington seemed to continue to ride the momentum of the first set. As the set progressed, both teams seems to pull out incredible defensive plays during each point. Seneca staged a come-back behind the hitting of Megan Neimann, Lexi Grove and Faith Hacker. Molly Baker had a kill that helped put the Raiders in the lead. Both teams continued to trade points and Berg tied up the game at 20 with a kill. Petersheim went back to serve for the Pages and rattled off several aces that tied the score at 23 but it was Marissa Herschberger who served out the match for the Pages.
