Match Comments: In the second match of the day the Indians of Lewistown Central faced the Indians of Pawnee. It was a back-and-forth match through much of the first set. Pawnee played great defense that kept them in the first set. Sydney Condon served to push Pawnee ahead 22-21. Then, Condon threw out an ace to put Pawnee up 23-21. Lewistown Central fought back and Madison Swearingen went back to serve for Lewistown Central. Lewistown Central went ahead with consistent play and Paige Bennett put down the final kill to end the first set for Lewistown Central. In the second set, Pawnee got out to an early lead on Lewistown Central behind the serving of Sydney Condon. Good defense was the name of the game for both teams. Madison Swearingen went on a serving run for Lewistown Central to cut the Pawnee lead. Sydney Shaeffer had a kill that cut the lead further to 18-16. Baylee Mayberry had an ace to tie the game up at 18. Shaeffer then had a big block that put Lewistown Central up 19-18 and then Mayberry had an ace to go up 20-18. Lewistown Central stayed tough at the net and finished off the match.
