Match Comments: In the 0final match of the day, the Raiders of Seneca met the Cougars of Springfield Christ the King. The Cougars served well early and frustrated the serve receive of the Raiders. Payton Vorreyer and Molly Hulligan both had aces that pushed the lead of the Cougars. Lauren Thoma had a kill late in the set to put Christ the King ahead 21-8. The Cougars seemed to be riding the momentum from their quarter-final match. The Cougars had the final kill to end the set. In the second set, the teams traded points early. Seneca seemed to rally from the first set. The hitters for Christ the King found a spark and pushed the Cougars ahead. Vorreyer and Paige Heckler combined for several kills that extended the Cougar lead. Seneca fought back with some great serving behind Abriana Jashari and defensive efforts from the entire team. Caroline Younkin had a big kill for the Cougars late in the set to tie the game at 19. Vorreyer added another kill to her tally to put the Cougars ahead 21-19. The Cougars finished aggressively and closed out the match.

Seneca will play in the Consolation game on Tuesday.

Springfield Christ the King will play in the Championship game on Tuesday.
