Match Comments: In the second quarter-final, the Comets of Quincy took on the Cardinals of Steger Columbia. The Comets got out quick behind the aggressive serving of Schay Mulherin who had 6 consecutive ervice points early in the first set. The Comets also got some help from the net play of Callie Lambert and Arrirana Benjamin who both had 2 kills in the first set. The Cardinals tried to rally behind an ace from Sydney Rocha but the Comets closed out the first. In the second set, the Comets again jumped out to an early lead. It was the serving of Mulherin that turned the tide for the Comets. She had 7 consecutive service points to set the track to the Comets. It was then Allison Sparrow who took over the scoring role for the Comets. Sparrow also had 7 consecutive service points for the Comets. The Comets also attacked at the net. Lambert had 3 kills in the second to help the Comets close out the match.

Quincy advances to the semi-finals this afternoon.
