With a packed house on hand, each team stormed out of the locker room energized and ready to play. In the early goings of game one, points were tough to come by as both teams put together impressive defensive efforts. Back and forth the score went until Emily Biswell and Brittany Twidwell took over for the Suns, as the two standouts combined for nine service points in game one alone. Kolby McClelland added two clutch aces that would aid the Suns in their game one victory over the Tigers by the final score of 25-19. The Ladies of Augusta Southeastern had it going again in game two, as Madison Fox played a game to remember. #12 for the Suns tallied an impressive 11 service points as well as two aces, as the high powered offense of Augusta Southeastern was just too much for Gardner. The Suns took home game two 25-10, thus capturing the 8-2A state championship in the process. The Suns also accumulated an unbeaten season.
