Match Comments: The second quarterfinal match of the day saw the Indians of Lewistown Central knock off the Lions of Albion two games to none. The first game was all Indians, as Amanda Pratt and her teammates had it going early and often. Pratt, who finished the match with five aces as well as 16 service points, ignited the Indian offense with her impressive serves and nose for the ball. She and her teammates were too much for the Lions in game one, winning by the final score of 25-13. Game two of the match was a much different story, as the Lions began to roar back with every point they tallied. Grace Thomason and her pack were driven by a roaring Albion crowd as they captured the lead late, 22-19. Back came the Indians however, as Lewistown Central rallied off multiple points to regain the lead and eventually take game two 25-23. Gracious in defeat were the Lions, as Thomason finished the day with four aces and five service points.
The Lewistown Central Indians now advance to the first semi-final contest of the day, as they'll square off against this morning's previous winner in Gardner. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
