Match Comments: In the third quarterfinal match of the day, the Augusta Southeastern Suns rallied from a one game deficit to topple the Honeybears of Mt. Pulaski. These evenly matched squads battled toe-to-toe throughout the first game. Alexandra Beckers of Mt. Pulaski was on fire early on, as her four aces paved the way for the Honeybears to nab a late lead. From there, both teams exchanged points seemingly every serve and eventually it was Mt. Pulaski who took game one by a final of 25-20. The early portion of game two started out much of the game, with Beckers and her Honeybear teammates exploding for some early offensive production. Back came the Suns of August Southeastern, as this seasoned squad fought back with a sense of urgency. Emily Biswell played a critical role for the Suns in game two, as her five clutch service points energized the Southeastern crowd. The Lady Suns would use that energy to snag game two by a final score of 25-21. Come game three. Biswell and her teammates didn't waste any time carrying over their momentum, as they built an early lead. Each time is seemed like Mt. Pulaski was poised for a run, the Suns would counter with a clutch point of their own. It was that resiliency that lead Augusta Southeastern to a game three win by a final of 25-16.

Augusta Southeastern now advances to tonight's semi-final contest beginning at 5:15 p.m.

Congratulations to both teams on a great match and season!
