Game Comments: In the Championship game, the Mustangs of Effingham JHS met the Indians of Minooka in front of a nearly packed house. Both teams were tough defensively in the early going of the first half. Carsyn Fearday's solid shooting at the free throw line provided an early lead for the Mustangs. The Indians fought back offensively behind the shooting of Isabella Alessio and Cierra Bachmann. Abby Weis tossed in a big 3point basket for the Mustangs to put them up 3 going in to the half-time break. Minooka got a big offensive push from Kylee Meadows in the third quarter as she scored all 5 of her points. The Mustangs put on an offensive push in the fourth quarter with 3point baskets from Miranda Fox and Skyler Schafer to seal the win.

The Indians were led offensively by Kylee Meadows with 5 points. The Mustangs were led offensively by Carsyn Fearday, Abby Weis, and Miranda Fox with 7 points a piece. Minooka finishes the season with a 24-1 record. Effingham JHS finished the season with a 23-1 record.
