Game Comments: In the second quarter-final of the day, the Eagles of Bloomington Evans met the Mustangs of Effingham JHS. Both teams worked hard defensively making early in the first quarter. The Mustangs got all of their scoring in the first quarter from Abby Weis who scored 11 of her 15 points in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Maya Wong dropped in a 3-point basket that kept the score close for the Eagles. The teams went into the half-time break with the Mustangs up by 3 points. The second half was evenly played by both teams. Defense was tight and baskets were hard to come by. In the fourth quarter, solid free-throw shooting from Weis and Carsyn Fearday kept the Mustangs ahead. Wong hit another 3 point basket to rally the Eagles but it was not enough as time ran down.
