Game Comments: In the Consolation game, the Panthers of Edwardsville Liberty faced off against the Little Giants of Canton Ingersoll. Ingersoll got out to a quick start in the first quarter. They were scrappy on defense and capitalized on the turn-overs they created. Cassidy Fawcett scored 7 of her 17 points in the first quarter for the Little Giants. The Panthers settled in during the second quarter and regained their offensive footing. Madelyn Stephen scored 4 of her 10 points in the second quarter for the Panthers. The Panthers went in to the half-time break down by 4 points. Both teams kept their offensive rhythm in the second half. Mackenzie Owens dropped in 4 points for the Panthers and Fawcett had 4 points for the Little Giants. The Little Giants continued to maintain the lead through the third quarter but the Panthers were always knocking at the door. As the fourth quarter was winding down, the Panthers recovered the ball and kicked it out to Madelyn Stephen who dropped in a three-point basket for the Panthers to send the game to overtime. In the overtime period, Stephen sunk another 3 point basket to put the Panthers up. Nico Grisolano made a three-point basket for the Little Giants to put them up as time began to tick down. The Little Giants were solid at the line down the stretch and hung on for the win.

The Little Giants were led in scoring by Cassidy Fawcett with 17 points. The Panthers were led by Madelyn Stephen and Mackenzie Owens each with 10 points. The Little Giants end their season with a 24-1 record. The Panthers end their season with a 17-10 record.
