Game Comments: Brimfield defeated Assumption Central A & M, 31-22 and will now play Winchester for the Class 2A title on Thursday, December 18. The Indians, who won the 7th grade title last year, will be looking for their second 8th grade title in four years as they captured 1st place back in 2011. Brimfield, which received a game high 12 points from Kamryn Cuevas, used a trapping defense that caused numerous turnovers for the Raiders. Both teams had trouble scoring in the third quarter as the Indians could only manage four points but they held the Raiders to only two. Assumption will face Bloomington Holy Trinity for 3rd place on Thursday. Good luck to both teams.
