| Game Comments: The Raiders of Assumption Central A & M improved their record to 23-3 with a low scoring but exciting 22-18 victory over the Carthage Bluegirls. Central A & M will now face Brimfield in the second semifinal game of the day at approximately 6:30 later today. Carthage closes out their season with a 20-4 record. The game featured numerous turnovers as both teams had over 20 turnovers. Carthage held the Raiders scoreless in the third quarter as they took a 15-14 lead into the fourth quarter. However, the Bluegirls simply could not get a shot to drop through in the decisive final stanza. They had several looks but their shot simply would not drop. The Raiders were able to outscore Carthage 8-3 in the final period as Channing Collins, who led A & M with 8 points, knocked down two key free throws to seal the victory for the Raiders. Congratulations to both teams. |
