Game Comments: Michala Johnson scored a game-high 30 points to power the Lady Bulldogs of Bellwood Roosevelt to an impressive 67-46 win over the previously unbeaten Hillsboro Dragons. The 113 points scored by both teams sets the class 8AA record for the most points by two teams in a game. Johnson, who stands 6'2'' was dominant in the paint, scoring 12 field goals. She also made the Dragons adjust many of their shots while on defense. Darnissa Gray and Celeste Jones each made five buckets and one 3 pt. goal to chip in wth 13 points each. Hillsboro only trailed by 5 at halftime but Roosevelt outscored the Dragons by 11 in the third quarter and easily coasted the rest of the way. Hillsboro, which received 14 points from Morgan White, suffered their first defeat of the season and ends an excellent year with a 23-1 record. Roosevelt advances to Tuesday's first semi-final contest at 6:00 p.m. and will play Champaign Franklin. The Lady Bulldogs will enter that contest with a 17-1 record.
