Game Comments: The Annawan Braves upped their record to 26-0 with an easy 42-20 victory over Brussels in the first semifinal game of the 8th grade Class 1A state tournament. Annawan, who won the 7th grade 1A title in 2013, will now play for the title on Thursday, February 20 at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of the Jacksonville Our Saviour/Chester-East Lincoln contest. This game was all Annawan as Ben Buresh with 19 points, Owen Landwehr with 14 points, and Brendon Shaw with 9 points dominated the game the Braves. Brussels will play for 3rd place honors on Thursday starting at 6:00 p.m. |
