Game Comments: The Panthers of Chester-East Lincoln improved their record to 21-1 by defeating Rantoul St. Malachy, 59-44 and in doing so will now face Jacksonville Our Saviour in the second semifinal game of the 8th grade Class 1A tournament which will tip off at 6:30 p.m. St. Malachy closes their season with 20 wins and just 5 losses. The Tigers led after one period, 12-11 but it was the second and third stanzas where the Panthers took control. Chester-East Lincoln started the second quarter by going on a 15-0 run and the Tigers simply could not recover after that. Leading the way for the Panthers was Isaiah Bowers who led all scorers with 30 points. Congratulations to both teams.
