Game Comments: In the second semifinal matchup of the night, the Tremont Turks took on the Pleasant Plains Cardinals. What a fast pace this game started out with. Nik Clemens would open up the game with a jumper for the Cardinals and Klayton Fehr of the Turks answered with a bucket of his own. But it was the Cardinals that would hold the early lead going into the second quarter. Max Bolliger had two critical blocks to help the Turks’ defense in the second quarter. But once again, it was Isaac Collins with a big step back three for the Cardinals. The Cardinals would keep a seven point lead going into the half. The Cardinals came out strong to start the third quarter. Leon Brown got a nice layup to go and put the Cardinals on the board first in the third quarter. Max Bolliger answered for the Turks with a layup and drew the foul. The Cardinals would now open up a 14 point lead. The Turks manage to cut the lead to 10 at the end of the third though. The Cardinals would end up extending the lead in the fourth to 18 points and would win by a final score of 53-35. The Cardinals will face South Holland McKinley in the championship game on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. The Turks will play Marshall JHS in the third place game at 6:00 p.m.
