Game Comments: The Marshall JHS Cubs and the Tremont Turks would take to the floor to battle it out for third place. This one got off to a furious pace by both teams. Brock Finkbiner would put on a shooting clinic for the Cubs tonight. He started off with a big three in the first quarter to get his team out in front early. But the Turks would not stay down for long. They would climb back into the game behind the play of Max Bolliger in the second quarter. He would score on a driving layup to help put his team in front. Brock Finkbiner would answer again with another three for the Cubs and to put his team in front. These two teams would be all tied up at 21 at the half. The Turks were the ones who would come out of the locker room ready to play in the second half. They outscored the Cubs 14-9 to gain the advantage going into the fourth quarter. Both teams would battle back and forth the rest of the way. The Turks’ lead would prove to be too much and they held on by a score of 48-42. The Turks take home the third place trophy and the Cubs are headed back with the fourth place trophy. Congratulations to both teams on a great game and season.
