In the first set, Pontiac St. Mary’s saw a balanced attack at the net from four different players. And were led behind the end line by #21 Elle Giovanni who served out the match and had six service points in the set with one ace. . The Mustangs struggled to get into their offense in the set. Royal jumped out to an early lead led by #10 Rylee Sjuts serving and #11 Peyton Crowe at the net with three kills early on. But St. Mary’s battled back and #13 Hannah Legner took the lead 16-10. This lead would take the Saints to the end as the Mustangs could not come all the way back from the deficit. Congratulations to both teams on a great season and hard fought game.
