Match Comments: The Wildcats of Thornton Wolcott and the Stags of Hartsburg-Emden faced off in the next quarterfinal match. The Stags took an early lead on the serving of #12 Lexi Barry. Lexi’s lethal left handed jump serve caused problems for Thornton’s passers. Six of her nine points were aces. The Stags were led at the net by #11 Anna Hayes who had three kills in the set. In the second set, #22 Sammy Perschall stepped up and served 22 consecutive service points to help give Hartsburg-Emden the match. #11 Hayes added 6 kills in the set for the Stags.
Congratulations to Thornton Wolcott on a great season. Hartsburg-Emden will play in the5:15 semi-final match tonight.
