Match Comments: In what was the first semifinal contest in today's Class 1A state tournament, the Rockets of Peoria Limestone Walters outlasted the Mustangs of Royal Prairieview Ogden two sets to one. During the early portion of set one, the Rockets were firmly in control. Quinn Robinson continued her strong tournament showing, tallying nine service points which included four aces. Robinson’s efforts helped Peoria Limestone Walters jump out to a 14-6 first set lead. Back would come the Mustangs behind a balanced attack lead by Corynne Roberts and Rylee Sjuts. Following their eight point deficit, the Mustangs stormed all the way back to tie the game at 20. From there, the momentum had firmly shifted toward Royal Prairieview Ogden as they finished the game on a 5-0 run en route to their 25-20 set win. Needing to rebound from a tough loss, the Rockets came out with a furry in set two. Taylor Thomas and Sara Carr combined for an impressive 14 second set service points to help the Rockets jump out to an early lead. This time, however, Peoria Limestone Walters would not falter as they managed to hold off the Mustangs by a final score of 25-15. The third set was much of the same for the Rockets who, despite their first set loss, continued to put the heat on the Mustangs early. This time it was Hannah Majors who was the standout, as #18 notched 10 service points to ignite the Rockets title hopes. In the end, the firepower from the Rockets was too much for the Mustangs of Royal Prairieview Ogden, as they fell in set three by the final score of 25-11. Quinn Robinson would finish the match with 12 service points, including five aces to lead both teams. Corynne Roberts tallied nine service points and three aces for her Mustangs.

With the victory, the Rockets of Peoria Limestone Walters advance to next Tuesday's Class 1A State Championship game, as they await the winner of this evening's semifinal contest.
