| Match Comments: The second quarterfinal matchup pitted the Cavaliers of Normal Kingsley against the Sailors of Summit Heritage. The CVakis had a well rounded attack in the first set and saw scoring from all their servers. Taylor Lupo started the match for Heritage and scored 3 quick service points, but the cavaliers passing and attack were too much for the Sailors in the first set. The second set saw incredible serving from #1 Kali Maier and #4 Carly Goben. Kali had 10 straight service points with 6 aces to give the Cavaliers a significant lead. Carly came up next in the rotation and she added 8 service points with 3 aces to put it away for Kingsley. Congratulations to both teams on a great season. Kinglsey will play Quincy in the semifinal match at 1:00 today. Good luck to Kingsley as they continue through the tournament. |
