Match Comments: In the Championship match, the Suns of Augusta Southeastern met the Cougars of Mason City Illini Central. The Suns got on a serving roll behind Shaleigh Covert who converted 11 consecutive service points. The Suns also got help from Kolby McClelland who dominated the net with 8 kills. In the second set, both teams stayed with each other. Jackie Switzer broke the game open for the Suns with 5 consecutive service points. The Cougars did not give up. Dakota Schmeiderer took over at the net with 6 kills and 1 block to bring the Cougars back into the match. Madison Fox tied up the game for the Cougars. Madison Fox had 2 key kills near the end of the set to put the Suns up and Jackie Switzer finished off the match with an ace.
