Game Comments: The Championship game was a tremendous battle between the Saints of Bloomington Holy Trinity and the Bluegirls of Carthage. Carthage pushed out to an early lead in the first quarter behind the shooting of Baylee Clampitt who had 3 points in the first quarter. The Bluegirl defense held the Saints scoreless in the first quarter. The Saints shook off their first quarter jitters and came alive offensively in the second quarter. Two Saints combined for 14 points in the second quarter- Erika Moore tossed in 8 points and Addis Loeffler contributed 6 points in the second. Halftime gave the Saints a chance to regroup and they came out with tremendous defensive pressure. They held Carthage scoreless in the third quarter. Both teams poured all their effort into the fourth quarter. All eyes turned to Clampitt for the Blue girls and she delivered 7 points in the fourth. The Saints were solid at the line and capped off the win. Clampitt finished with 17 points for Carthage. Moore and Loeffler both had 10 points each for the Saints.
