Both teams played a similar style of aggressive offense and swarming defense. The score stayed pretty even throughout the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bluegirls opened up a bit of a lead behind the shooting of Baylee Clampitt who scored 9 of her 22 points in the second quarter. Carthage went in to the half-time break up 8. In the second half, Hardin Calhoun chipped away at the lead from the aggressive play of Emily Baalman who had 7 points in the third quarter. As the fourth quarter got underway, Hardin Calhoun fought hard and pulled to within striking distance of Carthage. Time ran out for the Blackhawks and Carthage kept possession for the win. Congratulations to Hardin Calhoun on an outstanding season.
