Game Comments: The first semi-final of the night pitted the Cavaliers of Normal Kingsley against the Vikings of New Lenox Martino. The Cavaliers got out to an early lead on the Vikings keeping them out of the lane. Kinglsey did well on the boards and limited the scoring opportunities of the Vikings. Both Raven Hughes and Kendall Sosa had 6 points in the first half for the Cavaliers. Hayley Holmes did her best to keep her team close in the first half scoring 5 points for the Vikings. In the second half, Kingsley kept up the pressure defense limiting the scoring of New Lenox Martino. The Vikings did their best to tackle the lead from the free-throw line. Brittany Schultz finished with 8 points for the Vikings. Normal Kingsley was led in scoring by Raven Hughes with 13 points.
New Lenox Martino will play in the Consolation game on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Normal Kingsley will play in the Championship game on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. |
