Game Comments: In the first quarter-final of the day, the Panthers of Edwardsville Liberty faced off against the Vikngs of New Lenox Martino. The Vikings got off to a quick start in the first half dominating the glass and sealing up the inside. Hayley Holmes scored 10 of her 15 points in the first half for the Vikings. The tenacious defense of the Vikings frustrated the Panthers and sent New Lenox into the break with the lead. In the second half, the Vikings continued their defensive pressure. Colleen Barrett hit some key 3-point baskets to extend the lead for New Lenox. Criste'On Waters found some room to work in the fourth quarter scoring 6 of her 9 points for the Panthers. The Vikings kept the ball in their hands in the last minute and closed out the game.
