Game Comments: The Cissna Park Wildcats and the Washington St. Patrick Irish took to the floor in the first quarterfinal game of the day. The Wildcats jumped on top early behind Karli Boyle’s four points. The Irish would not stay down for long and they would slowly climb back into the game. The Irish had Sydney Bina step up and score two straight baskets to cut the deficit to one before the half. The Irish put on a shooting clinic to open up the third quarter. They outscored the Wildcats 13-6 and held a lead going into the fourth. The Wildcats found themselves down by ten with about three minutes left in the game. Then they turned up the pressure and climbed back into the game. The Wildcats’ Addison Stoller hit a big three to help spark the run. They came all the way back to tie the game and it was only fitting that we needed an extra three minutes to finish this one. Emily Cassulo helped propel the Irish to victory when she hit her third three pointer of the day. The Irish take the game by a score of 37-34. They will advance to the semifinals later today at 5:00 p.m. Congratulations to Cissna Park on an outstanding season. |
