| Game Comments: The Morton Blessed Sacrament Tars faced off against the Tonica Braves to decide third place. This game was full of excitement from start to finish. The Tars started off hot and jumped out to the early lead with a four point advantage heading into the second quarter. But the Braves would not stay down for long. The Braves’ Amber Schiffbauer scored six points to help her team climb back into the game. The Tars’ Tenley Dowell hit a nice jump shot to hold the lead. The Tars would only have a two point lead heading into the half. The Tars turned up the defense in the second and held the Braves to only four points in the quarter. Aydrianah Carter tried to help the Braves get back into the game with nine points of her own, but it would not be enough. The Tars win the game by a score of 33-31. The Morton Blessed Sacrament Tars take home the third place trophy and the Tonica Braves go home with four place honors. Congratulations to both teams on a tremendous game and season. |
