| Game Comments: In the first quarterfinal game of the day it was the Gardner Tigers and the Morton Blessed Sacrament Tars taking the floor. The Tars would jump on top early behind the play Tenley Dowell, who scored six points in the first quarter. The Tigers would climb back into the game in the second quarter. The Tiger's Mariana Ferrari would help spark a 4-0 run with a putback layup. The Tigers held a one point lead going into the half. The second half was a back and forth battle the entire way. Jenni Price would help the Tigers in the fourth quarter with two points that she made from her knees in the lane. Regulation was not enough for these teams. The Tars would be just too much in the overtime period though. The Tars will advance to the semifinals later today at 5:00 p.m. Congratulations to both teams on a great game. |
