Game Comments: The 11:30 a.m. quarterfinal game was between the Atwood-Hammond Chargers and the Peoria Pleasant Valley Panthers. The Chargers Kimberly Davis would help her team get off to a great start with her three point basket in the first quarter. The Panther’s Kennedy Jackson hit a big basket to get her team going. But the Chargers defense clamped down in the second quarter and did not give up a basket. The Chargers would take a 15-2 lead into the half. The Chargers had five different players each score a bucket to help extend the lead. The Panthers were not able to find a rhythm in the second half. The Chargers would hold their lead for a victory and a spot in the semifinals later today. They will be playing Morton Blessed Sacrament at 5:00 p.m. Congratulations to both teams on a terrific game.
