| Game Comments: It was the Morton Blessed Sacrament Tars against the Atwood Hammond Chargers in the first semifinal game of the night. Both teams battled back and forth for control of the game early. The Tars were helped with a falling jumper from the baseline by Tenley Dowell. The second quarter is where the Chargers stepped up and jumped out to a lead. They went on an 11-0 run to begin the quarter. The Chargers held a ten point lead going into halftime. The Tars would not stay down for long and would climb back into the game slowly. Kimberly Davis of the Chargers hit a big three point basket in the fourth to help extend the lead though. The Chargers proved to be too much and will move onto the championship game next Thursday night. The Tars will play in the third place game that will take place 6:00 p.m. on Thursday before the championship. |
