| Game Comments: The first semi-final was a tighlty contested game. Both teams traded baskets and did an excellent job rebounding. There was only a one-point difference at the half. Four 3-point shots early kept Bartonville Monroe in the game early. Two of those shots came from the Flyers' Lauren Roth. The first half leader for Ottawa Marquette was Sydnee Stalker who scored 9 of her 15 points early. The second half started out much like the first. Both teams traded baskets and stepped up their defense. Monroe went up in the fourth. Marquette battled back and cut the lead to 3. A final shot attempt was disrupted by the Flyers and the Knights ran out of time. Leading scorer for the Knights was Sydnee Stalker with 15. Leading scorer for the Flyers was Bailee Dunne. Congratulations to both teams. The Knights will play in the Consolation game on Thursday. The Flyers will play in the Championship game on Thursday. |
