Game Comments: The Championship game featuring the Wolverines of Park Forest Forest Trail and the Ridge Runners of Danville North Ridge was a thriller. The Wolverines got out to an early lead behind the shooting of Vashawn Sims and Clifton Jimerson who combined for 13 points. The Ridge Runners struggled to find their rhythm early and the swarming defense of the Wolverines made this even more difficult. In the second quarter, Danville North Ridge exploded offensively. Kendall Moore scored 13 points in the second quarter and helped the Ridge Runners tie up the game going into the half time break. Both of the teams came out of the locker room playing inspired defense. Moore and Robinson combined for 8 points in the third quarter and pushed the Ridge Runners into the lead as the third quarter horn blew. The fourth quarter was an offensive frenzy with both teams pushing the ball. Moore did his best to capture the lead late for the Ridge Runners scoring 7 points throughout the fourth. The Wolverines had three players score 6+ points in the fourth- Vashawn Sims (7), Anton Washington (6), and Clifton Jameson (6). It was Washington who iced the game for the Wolverines at the line.

This was an outstanding game by both teams. Congratulations on outstanding seasons!
